CNN political contributor Van Jones to deliver keynote tomorrow on U.S. election

 

 

TORONTO — Van Jones will be coming to Toronto tomorrow to deliver a keynote address about the U.S. presidential election and what a Donald Trump presidency will mean for America and Canada.

He will also hold a media availability prior to his speech.

Jones, a civil rights leader and former Obama White House advisor, emerged during the presidential campaign as a thought leader on the Trump phenomenon and what it means for the progressive movement.

He'll share his insights as the featured speaker at the Broadbent Institute's annual Progress Gala. The gala falls on the 5th Anniversary of the Institute, founded by Ed Broadbent in 2011.

When: Tuesday, November 22, 6 to 8 pm. (Media availability at 5:30; speech is scheduled to commence at 7:30)

Where: Art Gallery of Ontario, 317 Dundas St. W, Toronto, ON (Baillie Court)

Note to media: Due to a high volume of interview requests, Jones has added a media availability at 5:30 pm in the Norma Ridley Members' Lounge at the AGO. His speech is scheduled to begin at 7:30 in Baillie Court, followed by an on-stage interview with journalist Rachel Giese.
